Following the sadness I felt after watching yesterday’s events in Boston on the news, I felt so scared and sick inside. I kept thinking about the quote from Good Old Mr. Rogers, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” I immediately thought of this lovely session with this beautiful newborn and had to work on it. It brought me so much peace and joy that there are still so many wonderful things in this world. Watching the news, it was immediate and evident to see that there were in fact so many helpers. Good people, risking their lives to help those in need. Those people are around us everyday. Baby B’s Dad is one of them. He is a firefighter and protector. I’m so grateful for people like Drew and Tiffany who show that there is so much light and good in the world. This session was so fun to do and be apart of. I love this sweet family and am so grateful I got to be there to capture their little piece of heaven. Pray for Boston.

Finally Back to Editing after being so sick…

It feels SO wonderful to finally be back at the computer editing after being so sick for two straight weeks. I went through the entire fall and winter without even catching a small cold. Spring flu came back with a vengeance but I am finally feeling well enough to sit down and get back to work. Here is a glimpse of a couple of the sessions I am working on right now that you will see very soon in the near feature. There are so many more coming your way along with these. Stay tuned. Here is a quick teaser from Kara and Ryan’s engagement session when I was in Dallas a couple week’s ago taking pictures. I have four weddings in Texas this year so I will be traveling there back and forth. Any excuse is a great excuse to get back to my favorite, Hometown State. Even though I am based in Utah, I travel frequently out of state to shoot weddings.
